General Manager’s Update

It is great to see so many members frequenting the course and clubhouse, be it for golf, meals, raffles, trivia, poker or a social beverage. For the period of 1st January until 31st August, we have had 28,596 competition and 13,187 social golf rounds. If we continue with the current trend, we should expect to have over 63,000 golf rounds for the year! Fantastic to see that golf is alive and well in our region. 

With the weather now warming up, coupled with the great work that Trent’s team have been undertaking, it will provide a strong foundation for a superior conditioned golf course for summer. 

Trivia continues to grow at the club on a Thursday night, sometimes it’s a full house which is fantastic, well done to Paul, our host. Raffles on Wednesday and Friday nights will soon see an update with a long awaited new software program commencing in the next week or two. Poker continues to be popular on a Monday night, and welcomes new players if anyone would like to try their hand! 

Band nights provide some good quality entertainment on a Saturday night once a month, and we are pleased to announce that commencing shortly, monthly Karaoke will be added to the entertainment schedule. We look forward to hearing the talent of our members in due course. 

4th Green

This week the construction phase of the project has been completed. We have been fortunate with the weather over the past 4 1/2 weeks to ensure we could keep to a schedule that has members playing a temporary green is kept to a minimal period. Thank you to construction team – Craig, Paul, Bob from Craig Parry Design, along with Trent and our team for the fantastic work to date. We now move into the grow-in phase. The green was laid on the 30th August and will have covers over it for approx. another 10 days. 

All going well, we should see members playing the new green in 12 weeks. 

New Members

Whilst we welcome all new members to the club, there are two particular members worth a special mention. Our resident Osprey have two chicks in their nest down on the 11th hole! Keep an eye out next time you are playing the 11th.
